Robert Hood - Minimal Nation (M-Plant)
Friday, July 24th, 2009 | Sounds
Fifteen years after its release on Axis Records, Robert Hood’s seminal Minimal Nation gets re-mastered and unleashed on the world again. A milestone in Detroit techno, this release (along with Jeff Mills’ output) set the tone for techno in the 90’s. Minimal Nation still sounds as fresh today as it did 15 years ago and puts to shame much of today’s so called “minimal techno”. The real deal - essential if you didn’t pick up a copy the first couple of times around.

few words for a release that is minimal. i like it. keep it simply like the master did and let the music speak for itself.
ha - didn’t quite think of it in that way! but yeah, definitely all about the music speaking for itself.
